1、 Technical features
High frequency and high precision: The working frequency reaches 76-81GHz, the wavelength is only 3.75mm (millimeter wave band), the resolution can reach 1mm, and the measurement accuracy is ± 1mm. The short wavelength makes it highly penetrable to dust and steam, especially suitable for measuring solid particles or low dielectric constant media.
Shortwave beam angle and small blind spot: The antenna beam angle is only 3 °, energy is concentrated, and the blind spot can be as low as 0.07m (some models), reducing installation environment interference.
Wide range and strong adaptability: The maximum range is up to 120m (such as LWRD80xC model), supporting high temperature environments of -40~500 ℃ and high pressure environments of -0.1~40MPa. Corrosion resistant materials (such as PTFE antenna) can be customized.
Diversified output and installation: Supports 4-20mA/HART/RS485 signal output, provides various installation methods such as flanges and threads, and is suitable for tanks in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and power.

3、 Installation precautions
Vertically align with the target to avoid the beam being obstructed by container walls or obstacles.
Stay away from the feed inlet to prevent false echo interference.
Minimum installation distance: At least 20cm away from the tank wall, the conical tank needs to ensure that the beam is directly directed at the bottom of the tank.
4、 Comparison with 26G radar level gauge
Higher accuracy: 80G resolution 1mm vs. 26G approximately 5mm.
Smaller blind spot: 80G blind spot 0.07-0.4m vs. 26G 0.8-1m.
Applicable scenario differences: 80G is suitable for fine measurement (such as small solid particles), while 26G is better suited for large and complex environments (such as large reservoirs).
5、 Selection suggestions
High precision requirements: Priority should be given to 80G, especially for low dielectric constant media or small containers.
Complex working conditions: choose anti-corrosion material models for high temperature and high pressure, and pay attention to beam angle optimization in dusty environments.
1: The measurement range starts from the point where the beam touches the bottom of the tank, but in special cases, if the tank bottom is concave or conical, measurement cannot be carried out when the level is below this point.
2: If the medium has a low dielectric constant, the bottom of the tank will be visible when it is at a low liquid level. To ensure measurement accuracy, it is recommended to set the zero point at a low height of C.
3: In theory, it is possible to measure the position of the antenna, but considering the effects of corrosion and adhesion, the final value of the measurement range should be at least 100mm away from the antenna.
4: For overflow protection, a safe distance can be defined to be added to the blind spot.
5: The minimum measurement range is related to the antenna.
Installation requirements for radar level gauge:
1. Recommended distance (1) from the wall to the outer wall where the short pipe is installed.
2. At a distance of 1/6 of the tank diameter from the tank wall, the minimum distance is 200mm.
3. It cannot be installed above the feeding port (4).
