Globe valves are only suitable for fully open and fully closed, and are not allowed to be adjusted or throttled.

Working Principle:

It is an integrated pneumatic control product composed of a pneumatic piston actuator and a shut-off valve body. Pneumatic actuators are generally divided into two types: pneumatic spring piston type and pneumatic cylinder piston type. The former is a single acting spring reset type, and the latter is a double acting gas closed gas open type. Pneumatic globe valves adopt a self sealing working principle, where the medium enters the valve chamber from above the valve disc. Under the pressure of the medium, the closing force of the globe valve is small, while the opening force is large. The diameter of the valve stem can correspondingly reduce the impact force of the fluid. At the same time, under the pressure of the medium, this type of valve is also relatively tight. It is a common universal valve product, but pneumatic globe valves are not suitable for throttling and regulating working conditions.

Precautions

It is usually used in pipelines with one-way flow of gas and liquid that are fully closed and fully open. Its structure is longer and shorter than gate valves. The Taichen pneumatic globe valve adopts a self sealing high inlet and low outlet structure, which has a small closing force and a large opening force. The valve stem and disc are immersed in the medium for a long time, and this structure of globe valve is generally not suitable for highly corrosive media. When the medium is highly corrosive, a low inlet and high outlet globe valve should be selected. When the medium pressure is high or frequently opens and closes, the valve stem should be thickened to avoid bending caused by the thrust of the medium. Pneumatic globe valves have relatively high flow resistance compared to other valves. During use, attention should be paid to the pressure of the gas source and the issue of pressure and corrosion resistance on the valve stem. Pneumatic globe valves are not suitable for media with particles, high viscosity, and easy coking.
