The support or flange of the gear pump and its driving motor should use a common installation foundation, and the foundation, flange or support should have sufficient rigidity to reduce the vibration and noise generated during the operation of the gear pump. The electric motor and gear pump must be connected with an elastic coupling, with a coaxiality of less than 0.1 mm and a tilt angle of no more than 1 degree. Do not use a hammer to strike the coupling during installation to avoid damaging the bearings and other parts of the gear pump. When tightening the foundation screws of gear pumps and motors, the screws should be evenly stressed and the connection should be reliable. When rotating the coupling by hand, you should feel that the gear pump can rotate easily without any abnormal phenomena such as clamping before piping can be installed.

Gear pumps are suitable for conveying various lubricating liquids, with a temperature not exceeding 70 ℃. If a high temperature of 200 ℃ is required, high-temperature resistant materials can be used, with a viscosity of 5 × 10-5~1.5 × 10-3m2/s. This pump is not suitable for transporting corrosive, hard particle or fiber containing, highly volatile or low flash point liquids such as gasoline, benzene, etc.

1. Regularly adding grease, the electric oil drum pump operates at high speed, and the lubricating grease is easy to evaporate. Therefore, it is necessary to keep the lubrication at the bearing clean and pay attention to replacement.

2. Gear pumps should be regularly inspected and maintained, and electric oil drum pumps should be regularly inspected and maintained. The power cord should be checked for good internal connections, plugs, switches, insulation resistance, loose brush tailstock, good contact between commutator and brush, moderate open circuit in armature winding stage expansion stator winding, and damage to bearings and rotating parts.

3. Save each part properly and replace the same parts. When disassembling and inspecting the gear pump, each part should be well preserved, and special attention should be paid to the explosion-proof surface, insulation lining, and sleeve of the explosion-proof parts to prevent damage. If there is damage, new identical parts must be replaced, and substitute materials with lower performance than the raw materials or parts that do not meet the original specifications should not be used. During assembly, all parts should be installed in their original positions without omission.

4. Attention should be paid to the insulation resistance of gear pumps. For electric pumps that have been unused for a long time or used in humid environments, the insulation resistance of the winding must be measured with a 500 volt megohmmeter before use. When the insulation resistance between the winding and the motor casing is less than 7 megohms, the winding must be dried.

5. Pay attention to storing the electric oil pump in a dry, clean, and non corrosive gas environment.
