Overview
The working principle of a wedge flowmeter consists of a wedge flow device and a differential pressure transmitter. When the medium flows through the wedge-shaped throttling element, a differential pressure is generated before and after the throttling element. For any fluid, over a wide flow range, even with Reynolds numbers as low as 300, the flow rate is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure; Differential pressure transmitter converts the differential pressure value from the flow device into a standard output or flow display value of 4-20mA. Performance characteristics: 1. It can be used for flow measurement of viscous liquids, with viscosity up to 500MPa * S, such as fuel, residual oil, and heavy oil; 2. Suitable for flow measurement of liquid-solid mixtures containing suspended particles, such as slurry fluids, sewage, etc; 3. The mixed flow wedge-shaped flowmeter can be used for liquid-solid two-phase flow such as mud, coal water suspension, coal tar, suspension, etc. (as shown in Figure 2); 4. The Reynolds number has a wide range of applications and can be used for extremely low Reynolds numbers (ReD=300), with an upper limit of Reynolds number up to 106 or more. Wedge flowmeter is a special flow measurement device that can measure steam, gas, and liquid flow rates. The L G X T series wedge flowmeter has a special structure, no retention zone, and is characterized by a sturdy and unobstructed structure, wear resistance, and long service life. It is particularly suitable for measuring low flow rate and high viscosity (Reynolds number can be as low as 300) fluids containing solid particles, such as crude oil, fuel oil, slurry oil, asphalt oil, coal tar, wastewater, iron ore, carbon black solution two-phase fluids, and solid particle fluids.
