Overview

The LYFA5000 variable frequency transformer tester company completes CT direct resistance, excitation, transformation ratio, and polarity tests with one click, and except for load testing, all other CT tests use the same wiring method. Equipped with a miniature fast printer, it can directly print test results on site

7.4.Variable frequency transformer testertest method

Variable frequency transformer tester companyAfter booting up, enter the interface shown in Figure 2, rotate the cursor to first select the type of transformer being tested, and thenDivided into two main categories:
1. CT category: 3 options: P (protection), TPY, M (measurement)
2. PT class: PT testing.
Variable frequency transformer tester companyAfter selection, different menu interfaces can be seen as shown in Figures 8, 9, 10, and 11. After entering the corresponding testing interface, set the corresponding testing parameters for the experiment.
Before testing, please ensure that all grounding wires of the tested transformer are disconnected.
Direct resistance zero calibration:
Before the experiment, calibrate the zero first to make the test results more accurate (only calibrate once per startup).
Taking a four core wire as an example, the zero calibration method is as follows: first, connect one end of the four core test wire to the S1, S2, K1, and K2 test ports of the tester, and short-circuit the other end to each other (Figure 3). Secondly, for CT type, select "Direct Resistance Zero Calibration" for zero calibration. For PT type, select "Direct Resistance Zero Calibration" for zero calibration, and then select "Direct Resistance Zero Calibration" for zero calibration. After zero calibration is completed, the cursor will pop to the "Start Test" position, and zero calibration is completed.
CT excitation (volt ampere) characteristics, direct resistance, transformation ratio, polarity, angle difference, and ratio difference testing:
Zero calibration is completed. Refer to Figure 4 for the wiring diagram. Connect the P1/P2 ports of the tester to the corresponding P1/P2 terminals of the tested CT using a two core cable. Connect one end of the four core test wire to the S1, S2, K1, and K2 ports of the tester, and short-circuit the other ends S1 and K1 to the S1 terminal of the tested CT. Short circuit S2 and K2 to the S2 terminal of the tested CT. After the wiring is completed, click“Start testing”The experiment will begin and the corresponding test results will be displayed at the end of the experiment.
PT ratio, polarity, angle difference, and ratio difference testing:
Refer to Figure 5 for the wiring diagram. Connect the P1/P2 ports of the tester to the tested area using a two core cablePTquadraticConnect the terminals and tester ports S1/S2 with a two core cable to be testedPTonceAfter completing the wiring of the terminal, click“Variable polarity ratio”The experiment will begin immediately, and at the end of the experiment, the results of the ratio, polarity, angle difference, and ratio difference tests will be displayed.
PT excitation (volt ampere) characteristics and direct resistance test:
Zero calibration is completed, refer to Figure 6 for the wiring diagram, and useFour coreOne end of the test line is connected to the four test ports S1, S2, K1, and K2 of the tester, and the other end S1 and K1 are short circuited and connected to the tested devicePT secondaryofa/xShort circuit S2 and K2 and connect them to the tested devicePT secondaryofx/aEnd. After the wiring is completed, select the corresponding test item (excitation/direct resistance) to complete the corresponding test. The test results will be displayed at the end of the test.
CT/PT load test:
When testing the load connected to the secondary of the transformer, the first step is toNameplate of the tested transformerSet the rated load, rated voltage and current. Next, refer to Figure 7 for wiring, usingFour coreOne end of the test line is connected to the four test ports S1, S2, K1, and K2 of the tester, and the other end S1 and K1 are short circuited and connected toTested secondary loadAt one end, S2 and K2 are short circuited and connected toTested secondary loadOn the other end. After the wiring is completed, select the "load" test item and start the test. The corresponding test results will be displayed at the end of the test.
When conducting independent CT excitation, variable ratio polarity, and angle difference ratio tests, please refer to page 16.
