Operation Method

1. Prepare for measurement

1.1 Turn on the power of the computer host and monitor, wait for the computer to start up, and then click on the measurement software shortcut on the desktop to start the measurement software M2D-AT (Figure 1)

1.2. Turn on the power switch of the projector and rotate the contour light and surface spotlight knobs to turn on.

If the object being measured is relatively small, the magnification can be adjusted appropriately to make the measurement easier and more accurate.

1.5 Pixel Correction: Find a circle of appropriate size on the correction film (with a diameter less than half of the window width), then right-click on the M2D-AT software image area pixel correction:

Pixel correction must be performed before conducting image measurement. In addition, pixel correction is required for changes in magnification or focal length of CCD cameras. The purpose of pixel correction is to make the measurement results more accurate.

When calibrating, the following conditions must be met:

1. The magnification of the CCD camera remains unchanged;

2. The light source remains unchanged;

Tools with circles must be used for calibration;

The correction order must be: left, right, top, and bottom.


2. Measure the size of the object

2.1. Number axis zeroing measurement: By aligning in the X and Y directions and using the number axis zeroing, length measurement can be achieved;

2. Semi automatic discrimination;

2. Automatic discrimination (cursor);

What is pixel correction? Just like building a house requires laying a solid foundation, playing the piano requires adjusting the sound quality, and pixel correction is the process of obtaining a certain relationship between the distance on the image and the actual distance in the current situation. Once there is even a slight deviation, there is a danger of "losing even a tiny bit can lead to a thousand miles of error".

Pixel correction must be performed before conducting image measurement. Reminder from the Forest Dry Gauge,CCDAfter the magnification of the camera changes or the focal length of the lens changes, pixel correction must be performed. The purpose of pixel correction is to make the measurement results more accurate.

When calibrating, the following conditions must be met:

1. CCDThe magnification of the camera remains unchanged;

2. The light source remains unchanged;

3. Tools with circles must be used for calibration;

4. The correction order must be: bottom left, bottom right, top right, top left, bottom left.

When the software starts, if the system cannot find the pixel correction file, it will pop up with an uncorrected messagedialog box. At this point, we need to follow the above steps for processing.
