1、 Overview
The averaging tube is a differential pressure flow sensor developed based on the principle of pitot tube speed measurement. The Willibar flow sensor is a newly developed averaging tube, which has significantly higher measurement accuracy and anti blocking performance than traditional flute type averaging tubes and diamond shaped averaging tubes. Willibar flow sensors, when used in conjunction with differential pressure transmitters and display instruments, can measure the flow of liquids, gases, and vapors in circular and rectangular pipelines. Willibar flow sensors can be widely used in industries such as power, chemical, petroleum, and textile. Due to their low pressure loss, easy installation and maintenance, high accuracy, and good anti blocking performance, they are particularly suitable for measuring flow in large-diameter pipelines.
Structural Features
(1) The cross-sectional form of science
The cross-sectional form of its warhead receives the least traction force and fixes the separation point between the fluid and the sensor.
(2) High strength structure
By adopting a dual chamber structure, the strength is greatly increased. When high flow rates flow through large pipe diameters, solid blanks are used to open high and low pressure chambers, which improves the strength of the sensor, ensures long-term accuracy, and increases the upper limit of the sensor's range.
(3) Position of low pressure tapping hole
The low-pressure tapping hole area is located on both sides behind the sensor, before the separation point between the sensor and the fluid, which not only avoids the influence of eddy currents on the low-pressure hole, but also avoids the blockage of the low-pressure hole, truly realizing the anti blocking ability of the sensor itself, making the low-pressure signal more stable and accurate.
(4) The upstream surface indicates roughness and sedimentation channels
By uniformly roughening the front surface of the flow sensor and adding a dredging groove, it is equivalent to having a turbulence generator, which keeps the sensor in a turbulent boundary layer state at all times. The principle of rough surface is similar to that of a uniformly treated golf ball. Due to less traction, it can run on a more accurate and stable track. The Willibar flow sensor is at least 30% higher than other averaging tubes.
(5) Multiple sets of pressure tapping holes
The Willibar flow sensor measures the flow velocity profile of the fluid in the pipeline through multiple sets of pressure tapping holes distributed along the pipeline axis, accurately reflecting the average velocity of the fluid.
(6) High precision fluid coefficient
The fluid coefficient of the Willyba flow sensor is constant and linear over a considerable range, unaffected by Reynolds number and throttling area ratio.
