Tenax porous polymer based on 2,6-diphenyl-p-p-phenylether is widely used as an adsorbent in air collection and sweep trap applications. Compared with other porous polymers, its unique structure provides alternating and ideal adsorption/desorption characteristics.

Tenax ® Porous polymer adsorbents can be used for the following adsorption sampling processes:

Samples of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in different microenvironments were taken prior to determination by short-range thermal desorption (SPTD) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Before conducting TD and GC analysis, analyze the hydrocarbons in the ambient air sample [1]

Samples were taken from C7-C26 [2] and VOCs [3] in the studio air samples.
