Traditional microproduction is expensive and requires a significant amount of labor. Most laboratories are still using production systems that have been in use for the past 20 years. So far, few laboratories have truly achieved profitability. However, with the development of new biological pathways using liquid culture systems in bioreactors, microproduction may now become profitable. A French company developed a small in vitro culture container called RITA based on this system and obtained it in France in 1995. This container is mainly developed for somatic embryogenesis and is not suitable for large-scale in vitro plant reproduction. We have developed an attractive submerged bioreactor (in plant form) for large-scale in vitro plant production.

The design of this bioreactor is easy to operate, lightweight, transparent, and capable of high-pressure sterilization. The gas exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide can be controlled using an air pump and timer. These units can be placed in storage positions above each other in the climate chamber.

Advantages of Immersion Bioreactors:

Reduce production costs and improve plant quality.

1. Using liquid nutrient solution will eliminate the cost of gelling agent agar used in traditional in vitro reproduction.

The size of the bioreactor will allow for more plants to be accommodated in each unit, which will reduce the labor cost of transferring plants to new containers.

3. The nutrient supply can be adjusted according to different growth stages. Larger plants require more nutrients than smaller plants. Plants have better quality.

The gas phase is crucial in plant tissue culture, as this system can regulate the enrichment of oxygen and other gases. Some plants produce ethylene, especially during rooting after application of auxin. This system can remove harmful gases.

5. Rooting will also be carried out in liquid culture medium for subsequent planting in soil. The domestication of plants when they are transferred to soil conditions outside the body often leads to significant losses of the plants. This is due to sensitivity to low humidity after in vitro production. With this system, the stomata in plants come into play, which means that the soil's adaptability has been improved.
