Materials can only be thoroughly mixed and interact with each other after being ground to the required fineness, in order to achieve maximum strength in the finished product. According to the particle size selection of the grinding material, the material is loaded into the cylinder by the hollow shaft at the feeding end of the slag ball mill. When the slag ball mill cylinder rotates, the grinding material is carried away by the cylinder due to inertia and centrifugal force, and the frictional force is close to the cylinder lining plate. When it is brought to a certain height, it is thrown down due to its own gravity, and the falling grinding material shatters the material inside the cylinder like a projectile. The material is uniformly fed into the first compartment of the mill through the feeding device and the hollow shaft screw. There are stepped or corrugated liners in this compartment, which are equipped with steel balls of different specifications. The rotation of the cylinder generates centrifugal force, which brings the steel balls to a certain height and then drops them, causing heavy impact and grinding on the material. After rough grinding is completed in the first warehouse, the material enters the second warehouse through a single-layer partition plate, which is lined with a flat lining plate and contains steel balls for further grinding. The powder material is discharged through the discharge grate, completing the grinding process.
During the rotation process of the cylinder, if there is a sliding phenomenon of the grinding body, the material will be ground during the sliding process. In order to effectively utilize the grinding, for the general 20 mesh grinding of materials with larger particle size, the slag ball mill cylinder is divided into two sections with a partition plate, forming a double compartment. When the material enters the first compartment, it is crushed by the steel ball for rough grinding. When the material enters the second compartment, the steel ball grinds the material, and the qualified material after grinding flows out from the hollow shaft at the discharge end. For grinding materials with small feed particle size, the slag ball mill cylinder can be converted into a single chamber grinding cylinder without a partition.
