The portable elasticity measuring instrument eliminates the potential changes that traditional skin elasticity measuring devices may cause to the skin, making it a fast and practical tool.
Delfin ElastiMeter measurement principle
The elasticity measuring instrument consists of a 0.6mm long indenter, a reference plate, and a built-in force sensor. The probe is briefly pressed onto the skin, and when the reference plate comes into full contact with the skin, the skin resists deformation, thereby determining immediate skin elasticity (ISE).
The measurement principle is based on the analysis of the biomechanical response of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, using 3D computational FE (finite element) analysis and mathematical modeling.
