The Delfin VapoMeter skin moisture meter has a short measurement time, no need for horizontal measurement surfaces, a wide measurement range, no need for daily calibration procedures, and is not affected by environmental airflow. Mainly used for detecting transdermal water loss, skin barrier function, and permeability research on skincare, treatment, and nutritional effects, wound healing, sympathetic skin reactions, hyperhidrosis skin irritation, nail, scalp, lip dehydration, skin surface water loss, material permeability, in vitro research, animal health, and zoology
Delfin VapoMeterSkin moisture meter
VapoMeter measures transcutaneous dehydration (TEWIL) and evaporation rate, measured in g/m2h. This instrument can be used as a standalone device or wirelessly collect measurement data to DMC software.
VapoMeter is a portable device powered by batteries. This provides great operational flexibility and can measure the skin area from any angle. The replaceable and reusable adapter can be used for different in vivo and in vitro user applications.
Principle of closed chamber - no need for daily calibration
The core of VapoMeter is a sensitive humidity sensor located in a cylindrical measuring chamber. During the measurement period, the chamber is sealed off from the skin or other measuring surfaces and is not affected by ambient airflow. Sensors monitor the increase in indoor relative humidity (RH) during the measurement process. The evaporation rate value (g/m2h) is automatically calculated based on the increase in relative humidity. During the measurement period, the chamber is ventilated and the ventilation time is automatically controlled.
The advantages of VapoMeter are
1. Short measurement time, usually 10 seconds
2. No need to measure the surface horizontally
3. Wide measurement range - accuracy up to 200 g/m2h
4. Immediate use - no need for daily calibration procedures
5. Not affected by environmental airflow
6. Will not change the natural behavior of the skin - no human caused climate change, and no need for preheating
VapoMeterMainly used for detection
1. Research on Transdermal Moisture Loss, Skin Barrier Function, and Penetration
2. The effects of skincare, treatment, and nutrition
3. Wound healing
4. Sympathetic skin reaction and hyperhidrosis
5. Skin irritation
6. Nail, scalp, and lip dehydration
7. Skin surface moisture loss
8. Material permeability, in vitro studies
9. Animal Health and Zoology
