Due to its strong retention ability for non-polar compounds, it is the most commonly used solid-phase extraction adsorbent. C18It is generally considered to have the widest retention range in bonded silica gel adsorbents, as it can retain most of the organic compounds in the aqueous matrix. When analyzing small to medium molecules, Bond Elut C18It can be used to remove salt from the aqueous matrix before ion exchange, as salt can pass through the adsorbent without reservation.
