1、 Overview and purpose

GW5 outdoor high-voltage isolation switch is used in three-phase AC 50Hz rated voltage 110kV systems for high-voltage line switching under no-load conditions, as well as for electrical isolation of high-voltage busbars, circuit breakers and other electrical equipment under maintenance from live high-voltage lines. It can also be used to break small capacitive or inductive currents.

When the switch blade is in the normal opening position, it can provide an insulation distance that meets safety requirements. Widely used in 35-110kV substations.
2、 Main structure
1. Each isolation switch consists of a base, two post insulators, a terminal block, left and right contact assemblies, a grounding knife, and other components;
2. The contact finger and the contact finger seat are connected by a shaft socket, and the wiring board and the contact rod are connected by a copper soft connection, which greatly reduces the main circuit resistance of the product.
3. Two post insulators are arranged in a "V" shape and installed on the same base, which has the advantages of small footprint and reduced installation of metal frames;
4. Adopting a rolling shaft transmission, the operation is effortless, the rotation is flexible, and the opening and closing are effortless.
5. By rotating the umbrella gear, the opening and closing actions of the two columns are ensured to be consistent;
6. The intersection angle of the two pillar axes is 50 degrees, and the rotation angle reaches 90 degrees. After opening, there is sufficient insulation isolation fracture to ensure its safety;
7. The turning arm and pull rod of the base driven by the operating mechanism respectively rotate the two insulators synchronously to achieve the opening and closing operation,
8. The product has three methods: ungrounded, single grounded, and double grounded. There is a reliable mechanical interlock between the spindle and the ground to ensure its safety;
9. Equipped with CJ2 automatic operating mechanism or CS-17G manual mechanism, electromagnetic lock can be attached. The positioning device on the operating mechanism can ensure that the contact and static contact are in the correct contact or disconnection position.
