1、 Preparation work
Turn off the power and gas sourceEnsure that the instrument has stopped working and wait for the filament to cool down.
Prepare tools and materialsPrepare new filaments and corresponding replacement tools, such as screwdrivers, tweezers, etc.
2、 Replace the filament
Open the ion source compartment doorBased on the instrument model, locate and open the ion source compartment door.
Disassemble the old filamentUse tweezers to remove the lead wire from the filament pin, loosen and remove the fixing nut with a screwdriver, and remove the old filament from the screw.
Install a new filamentInsert the new filament through the screw into the slot, install the nut and tighten it to ensure that the filament is firmly fixed. Reconnect the lead wire to the filament pin.
3、 Instrument calibration and debugging
Turn on the power and gas sourceTurn on the power and air supply of the instrument system and wait for the self check of the instrument to be completed.
Switching filamentsSelect the newly installed filament in the instrument software interface to switch. The specific operation may vary depending on the instrument model. Generally, manual tuning can be performed on the "Tuning and Vacuum Control" interface, and the number in the filament column can be modified to switch the filament.
Save settings and tuneAfter switching the filament, save the settings and perform tuning tests to ensure that the instrument can work properly.
