The automation laboratory project of Nanshi Water Plant of Shanghai Chengtou Water Group analyzed 13 routine indicators (pH, permanganate index, total alkalinity, total hardness, chloride, iron, manganese, ammonia nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, chromaticity, and microbial indicators) in 18 items of factory water and 19 items of raw water. The designed functions include task management, outdoor sampling, sample delivery, sample splitting, multi unit automated detection, waste liquid treatment, vessel cleaning, report generation, and other automated tasks.Sewage automatic detection platformThe entire system has advantages such as modularity, high replicability, and high scalability, achieving 7 * 24-hour operation and adjustable detection efficiency according to needs.
The laboratory is centered around a central control system, equipped with indoor transport robots and seven sets of testing equipment, capable of detecting 13 indicators. UV spectrophotometers and titrators can simultaneously detect three indicators, while ICP instruments can detect two indicators. A batch of 18 samples, from sample entry into the laboratory to report generation, only takes 100 minutes for 10 detection indicators.

The central control system is the central nervous system of the automation laboratory, relying on composite indoor robots to connect various laboratory instruments and robotic arms, achieving fully automatic operation of unmanned "sampling results".
Outdoor sampling; Outdoor composite sampling is carried out, and the indoor sample cup preparation cabinet prepares the corresponding number of sample cups according to the testing task. The indoor composite transport robot transports them to the sampling system and waits for sampling.
Sample splitting system: responsible for shaking, opening, splitting, and closing the sample. Quantitative scoring can be performed based on the detection task. Now we divide the samples into groups of 6 and can process 1200 samples per day.
Sample transportation and multi unit synchronous testing: Indoor transportation robots send samples to various testing equipment units for synchronous testing, and the central control system provides real-time feedback on the experimental progress and testing results.
Waste liquid collection: Assist the robot in pouring and classifying the waste liquid in the sample cup for storage. The processing time for a single sample cup is only 20 seconds.
The analytical instruments involved in this laboratory include:
Fully automatic pH meter: responsible for pH value detection of samples, capable of detecting 960 samples per day.
Fully automatic titration analyzer: responsible for detecting three indicators: total alkalinity, total hardness, and chloride. It can detect 300 samples per day.
Potassium permanganate index analyzer: responsible for detecting potassium permanganate index indicators, capable of testing 300 samples per day.
Fully automatic spectroscopic detection system: responsible for detecting three indicators: ammonia nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, and chromaticity. It can detect 300 samples per day.
ICP detector: responsible for detecting iron and manganese, capable of detecting 300 samples per day.
