Because the pressure at the actuator port is lower than the pressure at the tank port, the force on the annular area of the outlet throttle seat valve (caused by the actuator port pressure) is opposite to the force in the spring chamber (caused by the tank port pressure). Special outlet throttle seat valves with one-way valves are available, which can prevent reverse fluid flow from entering the outlet throttle spring chamber and then cannot control the closure of the outlet throttle seat valve. The pressure drop through each plate is caused by the flow in the load sensing channel to the load sensing discharge throttle valve. The cumulative effect of pressure drop through each plate is significant, especially at higher load sensing pressures, higher oil viscosity, and when many plates are used, higher load sensing pressures result in larger discharge flow rates and higher oil viscosity
