Product Introduction
SYLD530A Street Lamp Cable Fault Tester (LCD Type)It is composed of a transmitter, a receiver, a magnetic induction detection rod, a positioning detection frame, etc. This instrument is a specialized instrument for optical cable and cable fault location testing, with an LCD screen display on the outside. It is suitable for testing various optical cables and cables with metal conductors (wire pairs, protective layers, shielding layers). Its main functions are to locate and test points with poor ground insulation, detect cable paths, and test cable burial depth.
SYLD530A Street Lamp Cable Fault Tester (LCD Type)Working principle:
1. Path principle (signal method)
When an alternating current flows through a conductor, an alternating magnetic field will be generated around the conductor, and the magnetic field lines of this field are coaxial with the conductor. At this point, if an electromagnetic coil is placed in the magnetic field, induced voltage will be generated at both ends of the coil. When the direction of the moving induction coil is the same as the direction of the magnetic field lines, the induced voltage generated at both ends of the coil will increase. That is to say, when the coil direction is perpendicular, the induced voltage is high; When the direction of the coil is parallel to the direction of the conductor, the induced voltage is small. From this, we obtained the "signal method" to explore the trajectory of buried cables, and the 45 ° rule of the receiving coil can be used to measure the burial depth of underground cables.
2. Positioning principle
(1) Differential potential method: If a buried cable experiences a grounding fault, we can use the potential difference method to identify the fault point. The method is to apply a test voltage between the test point of the faulty cable and the ground, so that a distributed electric field concentric with the entry point of the cable will be formed around the entry point. There is no potential difference between any points with the same radius in the electric field, but there is a potential difference between any two points with different radii. Moreover, when the distance between two points is fixed, the closer the two points are to the center, the stronger the potential difference. By utilizing this feature, we can gradually move points A and B towards the center point. When the fault point is located exactly between points A and B, the potential difference becomes zero. If you continue to move past the fault point, the polarity of the potential difference will reverse, so moving back and forth can accurately determine the grounding point.
(2) Vibration detection method
When the cable exhibits a high resistance fault and it is necessary to use the impulse flashover method to detect the fault, the discharge to the ground at the fault point will cause slight vibration to the ground. At this time, the fault point can be identified by using a vibration sensor to detect the epicenter.
Precautions for use:
1) The grounding wire of the transmitter should ensure good grounding;
2) The insulation resistance of the fault point is different, and the deflection amplitude of the pointer is also different. The smaller the resistance, the greater the deflection, and the larger the resistance, the smaller the deflection; When the resistance is low, the transmitter selects the "low resistance" state, and when the resistance is high, the transmitter selects the "high resistance" state;
3) When encountering extremely dry or cement ground, it should be considered to drip some water at the probe of the positioning detection frame;
4) When the tested cable is very long, in order to improve the audio signal, the far end of the tested cable can be grounded.
5) To ensure accurate measurement, it is necessary to adjust the direction and position of the detection rod at any time during the operation, and adjust the gain knob appropriately to make the speaker sound clear, stable, noise free, and the volume appropriate.
How to Charge:
When the internal battery energy is insufficient (both the receiver and transmitter have power indicators), it should be charged in a timely manner. If the instrument is not used for a long time, it should also be charged regularly to avoid damaging the battery (if the receiver or transmitter cannot be turned on by pressing the "on" button, it indicates that the battery is low, and it can be restored after charging).
When charging the receiver and transmitter, simply connect the external power supply, and the charging indicator light will turn on. Red indicates charging, and green indicates full charge.
