Characteristics of SY type double suction centrifugal pump unit for oil transportation:
The SY type double suction open pump for oil transportation is designed according to the structure of API610 10th edition BB1 or BB3. The suction and discharge ports of the pump are located on the same shell (lower pump body) and arranged horizontally on both sides of the shell. When opening the cover for maintenance, there is no need to remove the inlet and outlet pipelines, making maintenance simple.
Explosion proof design of the unit
All specifications of oil pumps, including pump structural components, motors, couplings, auxiliary pipelines, detection instruments, and pry mounted bases, are designed to be explosion-proof and can be used in hazardous areas of Zone 2 and T4.
The material for the double suction pump in oil transportation is selected from Table S-6 in Appendix H of API610 10th edition, which is suitable for transporting flammable and explosive media; The motor is selected as explosion-proof motor/spark free motor, with explosion-proof grade Exd Ⅱ BT4/Exn Ⅱ BT4, protection grade IP55, insulation grade F, and junction box protection grade IP55; The coupling cover is made of 316L stainless steel plate, and the pry mounted common base is welded with steel, which meets the explosion-proof requirements of API610 10th edition for transporting flammable and explosive media.
Grounding wires such as motors and bases are installed on the unit, and static connection wires are connected across the flanges. All electrical components such as electrical instruments and explosion-proof boxes are selected with explosion-proof grade Exd Ⅱ BT4 or above, and all cables are threaded through explosion-proof protective flexible pipes.
The above measures can ensure the explosion-proof safety of the unit operation.
Reliability of the unit
Ensure the operational reliability of the pump unit and meet the environmental requirements of the pump through reasonable layout and design of the pump structure, as well as process measures.
Through the self balancing of the impeller itself and the reasonable distribution of the impeller, the axial force is reduced. Through the special design of the volute flow channel and the reasonable layout of the flow channels at all levels, the radial force borne by the rotor is reduced, so that the thrust bearing and radial bearing can work in a relatively low and stable load environment. The temperature rise of the thrust bearing and radial bearing is small, the lubricating oil temperature in the bearing box is low, the lubrication and cooling effect is good, forming a virtuous cycle, and the bearing operation is reliable and the service life is guaranteed. The smaller axial and radial loads also reduce the overall vibration and noise of the unit, improving the reliability of its operation. In addition, the reduction of bearing load also lowers the power consumption of bearings, improves the operating efficiency of the unit, and reduces the operating costs of the pump station.
Through reasonable design of the rotor, precise calculation and verification of critical speed, and the adoption of G2.5 dynamic balance requirements for rotating components, the rotor operates stably with minimal vibration, ensuring the reliability and operational stability of the pump; At the same time, through vibration modal analysis, the vibration frequencies of the pump casing, pump rotor, and base are staggered, which can ensure the stability of the pump during operation and greatly reduce the noise during pump operation, meeting the environmental protection requirements of the pump.

The overall structure adopts the BB1 type of API610, which is a single-stage double suction pump with axial horizontal division and foot support. Its main features are:
