Overview

The SP series bevel gear commutator has three types: SPL, SPS, and SPV. SPL is used for deceleration transmission, SPS is used for acceleration transmission, and SPV is selected when the commutator is connected in series. The gear is made of low-carbon alloy steel and the tooth surface is carburized and hardened.

This series of commutators is suitable for transmission mechanisms in various mechanical equipment such as lifting, transportation, metallurgy, mining, chemical, and light industry.

Appearance and dimensions of SPV type steering gearbox (reinforced output shaft type):
The SPV type commutator can transmit greater torque through a reinforced whole shaft d2. It is particularly recommended to use this type of commutator as a multiple series connection with each commutator connected to an input shaft d1 for torque input. In addition, the SPV type commutator can also be used in situations where the output shaft d2 is subjected to a certain radial force.

Selection of SP series bevel gear steering box:
1. Determine the input power;
1.1. Select a commutator based on input power
The load power of the steering box is P2. When the steering box starts less than 20 times per hour and the peak load is 1.5 times the rated load, the allowable input power calculation formula for the steering box is P2n=P2 × KA × s. When the steering box starts 21-60 times per hour, the allowable input power calculation formula for the steering box is P2n=1.2 × P2 × KA × s. The calculated P2n must be less than or equal to the rated input power Pn of the commutator
1.2 Thermal power verification
The steering box should undergo thermal power verification calculation, and if the heat dissipation power is insufficient, a cooling device must be added.
If the load power P2 of the steering box is greater than its thermal power PG, a cooling device must be added. The thermal power PG is given based on an ambient temperature of 20 ℃, 10 hours of daily operation, and an hourly load rate of 100%. When checking the thermal power, P2 must be multiplied by the environmental temperature coefficient f1 and the hourly load coefficient f2. If the calculation result is greater than the PG value in the thermal power meter, cooling measures must be taken for the steering box.
Step 2 for selecting a commutator:
(1) Select the type of commutator;
a、 Determine the type of prime mover; Rated input power P1; Input speed n1;
b、 Determine the load type, its power P2, and speed n2;
c、 Determine the required transmission ratio i=n1/n2.
(2) The working conditions of the prime mover and the working machine
a 、 Determine the prime mover and determine the load type of the commutator according to Table 11;
b、 Determine the average daily working hours;
c、 Hourly startup frequency and hourly load rate;
d、 Determine the safety factor s of the commutator according to Table 8.
(3) Inverter usage environment
a、 Environmental temperature ℃;
b、 The impact of installation space, dust, humidity, and surrounding temperature (radiant heat) on the converter.
(4) The connection method between the prime mover and the commutator
a、 The connection method between the prime mover and the commutator (using flexible couplings, V-belts or flat belts);
b、 Radial force of input shaft.
(5) Inverter output connection
a、 Connected through flexible couplings or floating toothed couplings;
b、 Radial force attached to the output shaft.
(6) Installation method of commutator
a、 Determine the installation form of the commutator between the prime mover and the working machine.
