At a flow rate of 20L/min, a certain volume of dusty air is extracted. When passing through the sampling head, coarse dust particles are impacted on an impact plate coated with silicone oil of known mass, while respiratory dust is trapped on a filter membrane of known mass. The mass concentration of total dust and respiratory dust per unit volume of air (mg/m3) is calculated based on the increment of dust on the impact plate and filter membrane after sampling
