SETA hydrogen sulfide analyzer:
Hydrogen sulfide has high toxicity to humans, animals, and aquatic organisms, and is corrosive to metals. Testing the hydrogen sulfide content of fuel can provide a more accurate assessment of its safety during storage and transportation. This analyzer can determine the potential total value of hydrogen sulfide released from fuel, in accordance with the new IP570- Determination of Hydrogen Sulfide in Fuel Oil - Rapid Liquid Extraction Method, and can also be applied to test crude oil and other fuels.
ISO 8217:2012 Standard for Marine Fuel Oil
In 2012, the industry set a limit of 2 ppm (2ppm) in liquid phase according to ISO 8217, which made IP 570 procedure A the referee test for H2S.
