In recent years, with the continuous development of research on reinforced concrete structures, especially the requirement for in-depth study of the large deformation performance of components (such as the ductility research of seismic and blast resistant structures), it is necessary to measure the entire strain process of concrete and steel bars in the components from the elastic stage to the plastic stage during structural testing. However, the original testing methods (attaching resistance strain gauges or adhesive displacement gauges on steel bars or concrete) can no longer meet the requirements. The advantage of the guide rod extensometer is that it can smoothly measure the entire process of the local section of the specimen from elastic to plastic stage.
