A softening or scale inhibitor dosing device needs to be added after the activated carbon filter. To prevent the original components of the reverse osmosis membrane from being contaminated by suspended or insoluble substances that may exist in the feedwater after a period of normal operation of the reverse osmosis water treatment equipment, the most common pollutants are calcium carbonate scale, calcium sulfate scale, metal oxide scale, silicon sediment, and organic or biological sediment. A softening or scale inhibitor dosing device needs to be added after the activated carbon filter. If a dosing device is used, scale inhibitors need to be regularly added to the dosing box of the system.

Scale inhibitor is an efficient liquid scale inhibitor and dispersant. This agent is a standard solution that effectively controls inorganic scaling over a wide concentration range. The maximum allowable LSI value without acid is 2.8; Not condensing with iron, aluminum oxides, and silicon compounds to form insoluble substances, it is particularly effective in controlling aluminum, iron, and heavy metal pollutants. The concentration of iron on the inlet side is allowed to reach 8.0PPM, which can effectively inhibit the polymerization and deposition of silicon. The concentration of SiO2 on the concentrated water side can reach 290ppm, and the pH range of the feedwater is effective in 5-10; It can be added directly or diluted before adding. The use of scale inhibitors/dispersants can extend the cleaning cycle of the system, prolong the service life of the membrane, and reduce operating costs.



The basic function of scale inhibitors:

Networking and solubilization effects:After dissolving in water, reverse osmosis scale inhibitors undergo ionization, generating negatively charged molecular chains that form water-soluble complexes or chelates with Ca2+, thereby increasing the solubility of inorganic salts and playing a role in scale inhibition

Electrostatic repulsion effect:After dissolving in water, the reverse osmosis scale inhibitor adsorbs onto the microcrystals of inorganic salts, increasing the repulsion between particles and hindering their aggregation, keeping them in a good dispersed state, thereby preventing or reducing the formation of scale;

Lattice distortion effect:Some functional groups in the molecules of reverse osmosis scale inhibitors occupy certain positions on the nuclei or microcrystals of inorganic salts, hindering and destroying the normal growth of inorganic salt crystals, slowing down the growth rate of crystals, and thus reducing the formation of salt scale.

Medication point:To achieve better efficiency, it is best to add before the security filter.

Dilution: The product is a standard liquid that can be added directly or diluted before being added. Dilution is done using desalinated water.
Dosing point: In order to achieve better efficiency, it is best to add before the security filter.
Dosage: The dosage of anti fouling agent for reverse osmosis membrane is determined based on the comprehensive analysis report of water quality and the situation of the reverse osmosis system. A suitable dosage should be calculated according to the conditions such as inlet salinity, temperature, recovery rate, and type of reverse osmosis membrane. Generally, the dosage is 2-5ppm. Within the recommended dosage range, most of the following types of scaling can be controlled: calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, iron hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, and silicon. To prevent the production of scale such as carbonates, sulfates, and silicates, it is advisable to add 80-100 grams per ton of water and add it every 2-5 days.
This product does not contain heavy metals or harmful substances, and has no adverse effects on the ecological environment.
