When measuring the speed of a flowing river surface, the radar emits microwaves towards the surface. When encountering waves, water bubbles, or floating objects (the measured moving target), the microwaves are absorbed and reflected. A part of the reflected wave is received by the probe and converted into an electrical signal, which is processed by the measurement circuit to measure the Doppler frequency shift. Based on the above principle, the flow velocity of the water body can be calculated.
