REK-20SNSulfur and nitrogen analyzerIt is a precision experimental instrument developed by combining the principles of chemiluminescence and ultraviolet fluorescence with computer technology. The instrument has outstanding advantages such as high sensitivity, low noise, wide linear range, strong anti-interference ability, high analysis accuracy, easy operation, and stable and reliable results. The instrument's cooling fan automatically switches on and off, saving the trouble of waiting to shut down after completing the sample. It can be widely used in petroleum, chemical, power, coal, food, environmental protection and other fields.

2. The working principle is as follows:

After the sample is introduced into the high-temperature cracking furnace, it undergoes oxidative cracking, where the sulfur is quantitatively converted to sulfur dioxide (SO2) and the nitrogen compounds are quantitatively converted to nitric oxide (NO). The reaction process is shown in equation (1). The reaction gas is carried by the carrier gas and undergoes membrane drying and dehydration before entering the reaction chamber.

NO reacts with ozone (O3) from the ozone generator in the reaction chamber, and some of the nitric oxide is converted into excited state nitrogen dioxide (NO2 *). When NO2 * transitions from the excited state to the ground state, photons are emitted. The photon signal is received and amplified by a photomultiplier tube, and then converted into an electrical signal proportional to the luminescence intensity through amplifier and computer data processing. Under certain conditions, the intensity of chemiluminescence generated in the reaction is proportional to the amount of nitric oxide produced, which in turn is proportional to the total nitrogen content in the sample. Therefore, the total nitrogen content in the sample can be determined by measuring the intensity of chemiluminescence. The entire reaction process can be represented as shown in (2):

Part of the SO2 in the reaction chamber is converted into excited state sulfur dioxide (SO2 *) after being irradiated with ultraviolet light. When SO2 * transitions to the ground state, photons are emitted, and the photoelectron signal is received by a photomultiplier tube, amplified by an amplifier, and processed by a computer. It can be converted into an electrical signal proportional to the intensity of light. The fluorescence intensity generated in the reaction is proportional to the amount of sulfur dioxide produced, and the amount of sulfur dioxide is proportional to the total sulfur content in the sample. Therefore, the total sulfur content in the sample can be determined by measuring the fluorescence intensity. The entire reaction process can be represented as shown in (3):

Before analyzing the sample, use a standard sample that is close to the sample to create a calibration curve. Then, analyze the sample under the same conditions. The program automatically calculates the sulfur and nitrogen content of the sample based on the calibration curve of the standard sample.
3. Job requirements and technical parameters

Note: When the sample content is greater than 10000mg/L, it should be measured after dilution.

3.3 Environmental Requirements:
·The ambient temperature is basically constant, with a requirement of 10-30 ℃ and a relative humidity of less than 85%. Avoid direct sunlight and it is recommended to use air-conditioned rooms.
·The air must not contain corrosive gases and dust to avoid corrosion, short circuits, and reduced sensitivity of instrument measurements.
·Instrument worktable requirements: approximately 2 meters long, 0.8 meters wide, and able to withstand a weight of approximately 60Kg. The worktable must be kept stable and free from mechanical vibration.
·Indoor air circulation must be maintained, and the presence of any flammable gases is strictly prohibited.
3.4 Power Requirements
·Power supply voltage:~220V ± 5PHz
·Power supply: ≥ 3kw.
·The instrument should have good grounding, with a ground resistance not exceeding 5 Ω.
·The instrument should avoid sharing the same phase power supply with high-power high-frequency equipment.
3.5 Gas source requirements
·High purity oxygen: purity>99.999%, water content less than 5ppm, pressure 0.2MPa (partial pressure), flow rate 250-500mL/min, gas cylinders need to be equipped with oxygen pressure reducing valves.
