Introduction to RE1600 Cell Resistance Analyzer
During cell growth, when cell monolayers fuse, the transmembrane resistance (TEER) increases sharply. By measuring the changes in resistance during cell growth, the growth status and fusion degree of cells can be understood. The RE1600 transmembrane cell resistance meter is designed for this purpose. For the measurement of transmembrane resistance, the electrode can be disinfected before measurement. For the measurement of transmembrane voltage, it is necessary to balance the electrodes in advance (see instructions for details).
1. The measurement circuit adopts AC pulse technology, which avoids metal deposition on the electrodes and the side effects of continuous DC current on the tissue. The resistance reading is not affected by membrane capacitance and membrane voltage.
2. Equipped with a built-in 1K ohm standard resistor, the instrument's measurement circuit can be checked for normal operation at any time through a button.
3. The measuring electrode adopts a four electrode structure with two legs, with a pair of voltage electrodes on the inner side and a pair of current electrodes on the outer side. The length of the legs is different. When measuring, insert the short leg into the culture cup and the long leg outside the culture cup. Let it stand vertically and select the appropriate range to display the measurement value in real time.
4. Multiple electrode specifications are available, ranging from 6-well plates to 96 well plates, and can be measured in culture cups. Special electrodes can also be customized according to user culture cups.
