There is a small cylindrical surface under the conical surface of the oil outlet valve, called a pressure reducing ring. Its function is to quickly reduce the oil pressure in the high-pressure oil pipe at the end of the oil supply, avoiding oil dripping at the nozzle. When the annular ring falls into the valve seat, the volume above quickly increases, the pressure rapidly decreases, and the spraying stops quickly. During operation, the cam on the camshaft of the fuel injection pump and the plunger spring force the plunger to reciprocate up and down, thereby completing the pumping task. The pumping process can be divided into the following three stages. During the oil inlet process, when the convex part of the cam rotates, the plunger moves downward under the action of the spring force, and the upper space of the plunger (called the pump oil chamber) generates a vacuum degree. The domestic series of plunger fuel injection pumps mainly include A, B, P, Z, and I, II, III series.
