R35/80 FL-DBI-G ball mill reducer oil pump RICKMEIERWhen using a gear pump, we cannot avoid the wear and tear of the gear pump, which can cause many problems. Therefore, we need to learn a common maintenance technique for gear pumps. If you have a problem, you can make an accurate judgment. Next, I will talk about the most common repair techniques for you:
1. Maintenance of the working surface: If the wear on the working surface of the pump cover is relatively small, you can use the manual grinding method to eliminate the wear marks. That is, place a small amount of valve sand on the platform or thick glass plate, and then place the pump cover on top for grinding until the wear marks are removed and the working surface is flat. If the wear depth of the working surface of the pump cover exceeds 0.1 millimeters, it is necessary to repair it by first turning and then grinding.
2. Maintenance of the active shaft liner hole: The repair of the wear of the active shaft liner hole on the pump cover is the same as the repair of the wear of the active shaft liner hole on the housing.
Repair of pump casing inner cavity: After the wear of the pump casing inner cavity, the inner cavity embedding method is adopted for repair, that is, the inner cavity is enlarged and then embedded with cast iron or steel lining. After inserting the sleeve, the inner cavity should be coated to the required size, and the sleeve protruding from the end face should be ground off to be flush with the joint surface of the pump casing.
3. Valve seat maintenance: There are two types of pressure limiting valves: ball valves and plunger valves. After the wear of the spherical valve seat, a steel ball can be placed on the valve seat, and then gently tapped with a metal rod until the ball valve fits tightly with the valve seat. If the valve seat is severely worn, it is necessary to remove the wear marks by reaming and then use the above method to make it tightly fit. After the plunger valve seat wears out, a small amount of valve sand can be added for grinding until it fits tightly
4. Gear pump is a rotary pump that relies on the change and movement of the working volume formed between the pump cylinder and the meshing gear to transport liquid or increase its pressure. Two enclosed spaces are composed of two gears, a pump body, and front and rear covers. When the gears rotate, the volume of the space on the disengagement side of the gears increases from small to large, forming a vacuum that sucks in the liquid. The volume of the space on the meshing side of the gears decreases from large to small, and the liquid is squeezed into the pipeline. The suction chamber and the discharge chamber are separated by the meshing line of two gears. The pressure at the discharge port of a gear pump depends on the magnitude of the resistance at the pump outlet.
R35/80 FL-DBI-G ball mill reducer oil pump RICKMEIERIn terms of terminology, a gear pump is also known as a positive displacement device, which is like a piston in a cylinder. When one tooth enters the fluid space of another tooth, because the liquid is incompressible, the liquid and the tooth cannot occupy the same space at the same time, so the liquid is mechanically squeezed out. Due to the continuous meshing of the teeth, this phenomenon occurs continuously, thus providing a continuous discharge at the pump outlet. The amount discharged is the same for each rotation of the pump. As the drive shaft rotates continuously, the pump also continuously discharges fluid. The flow rate of a pump is directly related to its rotational speed.
In fact, there is a small amount of fluid loss inside the pump because these fluids are used to lubricate the bearings and gears on both sides, and the pump body cannot fit without clearance, so it is impossible to discharge the fluid 100% from the outlet. Therefore, a small amount of fluid loss is inevitable, which makes the operating efficiency of the pump unable to reach 100%. However, the pump can still operate well and achieve an efficiency of 93% to 98% for most extruded materials.
