Overview

The QUV UV aging test chamber is suitable for conducting water exposure aging tests on non-metallic materials such as coatings and rubber. Due to the fact that ultraviolet radiation in sunlight is the main factor causing oxidative degradation of polymers, and moisture is an important destructive factor accelerating aging, this device has the characteristics of simulating outdoor exposure aging quickly and conveniently, and has practical value for testing the relative weather resistance of different specimens.

IIQUV UV aging test chamberStructure introduction:

The structure of the test chamber is made of corrosion-resistant 304 # stainless steel metal material, including 8 fluorescent ultraviolet lamps, a water tray, a test sample holder, temperature and time control system, and indicators.

2. The lamp power is 40W and the lamp length is 1200mm. The range of the uniform working area of the test box is 900 × 210mm.

3. The lights are installed in four rows, divided into two rows. The tubes of each row of lights are installed in parallel, and the center distance of the lights is 70mm.

4. The test sample is fixedly installed at a position 50mm away from the nearest parallel plane of the lamp surface, and the test sample and its bracket constitute

The inner walls of the box are exposed to cooling air at room temperature on their back due to the temperature difference between the test sample and the air inside the box. make

The condensation stage on the surface of the test sample produces stable condensation conditions, and the test chamber should be composed of the bottom, outer wall, and test sample

The channel generates natural air convection.

5. Water vapor is generated by a water tray located at the bottom of the heating box, with a water depth not exceeding 25mm, and equipped with an automatic water supply controller. The water tray should be regularly cleaned to prevent the formation of scale.

The temperature of the test chamber is fixed with a width of 75mm, a height of 100mm, and a thickness of 2.5mm Sensors on black aluminum plate (blackboard)

Measurement: The blackboard should be placed in the central area of the exposure test, and the measuring range of the thermometer is 30-80 ℃ with a tolerance of

±1℃. The control of lighting and condensation stages should be carried out separately, while the condensation stage is controlled by the heating water temperature.

7. The test chamber should be placed in a test room with a temperature of 15-35 ℃, 300mm away from the wall, and should be protected from other heat sources

The air inside the laboratory should not circulate strongly to avoid affecting lighting and condensation conditions.

3、 Equipment selection and usage precautions

1. Selection key

Prioritize equipment with irradiance closed-loop control to avoid energy attenuation caused by lamp aging affecting the results;

If testing multiple materials, it is recommended to choose a model with replaceable lamps (UVA/UVB);

When the sample size is large, pay attention to the working chamber capacity of the equipment (usually 30L~500L) and the load-bearing capacity of the sample rack.

2. Precautions for use

UV lamps have a lifespan (usually 1000-2000 hours) and need to be replaced regularly with recorded usage time;

During the experiment, avoid direct exposure to ultraviolet light (protective goggles should be worn), and the equipment should be placed in a well ventilated environment;

During the condensation stage, it is necessary to regularly replenish distilled water to prevent insufficient water level from affecting humidity control.
