Overview

QC4011 Carbon Cup Heraeus Electrical Measurement Company provides a series of consumable thermal analysis sample cups, which are composed of well-designed sample cups and high-precision K-type thermocouples.

Product Details

Thermal analysis is widely used for on-site control of molten iron composition due to its speed, simplicity, reliability, and low cost. When molten iron is poured into a sample cup, it gradually solidifies over time. Thermal analysis measures and calculates composition parameters such as CEL, C, and Si based on the temperature plateau of its cooling curve.
QC4011 Carbon CupThe carbon equivalent CEL is expressed by the formula% CEL=C+% Si/4+% P/2, and the captured liquidus temperature at the beginning of solidification of the molten iron sample is directly related to this value.

QC4011 Carbon CupCharacteristics:
*Reasonable and reliable sample cup design ensures correct polarity connection with thermal analysis connectors
*Horizontal quartz protective tube design for faster response speed
*Wide pouring temperature range
*A cooling curve with good repeatability and strong stability
*The high carbon content C is determined by two temperature values: the liquid phase temperature TL and the solid phase temperature TS. The silicon content Si can be calculated by measuring the solid phase temperature, and the silicon value can be calibrated by an adjustment factor that is related to the carbon in the molten iron. Of course, thermal analysis can also be applied in the following three aspects:
*Pregnancy control is achieved through the measurement of eutectic undercooling to regulate pregnancy. *By measuring the liquid phase temperature and undercooling, predict the mechanical and physical properties of molten iron.
*The calculation of spheroidization rate, based on the principle of relative thermal conductivity, can calculate the spheroidization rate of ductile iron and molten iron. Model and application: * Tellurium free sample cup (QC4010): Determination of CEL undercooling
*Tellurium containing sample cup (QC4011): determination of CEL, C, Si * tellurium sulfide containing sample cup (QC4012): determination of CEL, C after spheroidization; Si * Spheroidization Rate Sample Cup (QC4050): Determination of Spheroidization Rate of Ductile Iron
