Gear set replacement

1. Apply 400 gram PULSAlube grease to both ends of the thrust washer and install it onto the eccentric shaft.

For DC4 and DC5 models of pumps, the gasket needs to be inserted into a shallow countersunk hole.

2. Assemble the worm gear (part 8) and shaft key (part 10) onto the eccentric shaft. Do not tighten the positioning screw yet.

3. Screw the M6-1.0 screw into the threaded hole at the bottom of the eccentric shaft. Tighten the worm gear positioning screw and pull up the screw at the bottom of the shaft to eliminate the end clearance on the eccentric shaft.

4. Rotate the worm gear

The worm gear should rotate freely without any backlash.

5. Disassemble the screw inserted in step 3.

6. Assemble and install the worm gear component.

a) If your pump model is DC2 or DC3:

Apply NP980006-000 PULSAlube grease to the two lip seals of the worm gear seal.

Apply NP980006-000 PULSAlube grease to the smaller end of the worm gear.

Carefully insert the worm into the pump casing.

Install the following thrust bearings (with washers on both ends) into the holes at the bottom of the pump casing.

Install the worm into the bearing of the pump casing.

b) If the pump model you are using is DC4 or DC5.

Apply NP980006-000 PULSAlube grease to the smaller end of the worm gear.

Insert the worm into the pump housing and mount the shaft end onto the bearing in the pump housing.

Apply NP980006-000 PULSAlube grease to both lip seals.

Install the adapter onto the pump housing and carefully seal the lip when passing through the worm.

7. Fill the gear chamber completely with NP980006-000 PULSAlube grease, reinstall the cover and gasket.

8. Reinstall the motor onto the pump. From the top of the motor, confirm that the motor is turning clockwise.

9. Reinstall the pump into the system and restart the pump.
