The PSW series is a single output, multi range programmable switching DC power supply with a maximum power of 1080W. The series covers 15 models and offers rated voltages of 30V, 80V, 160V, 250V, and 800V, as well as maximum output powers of 360W, 720W, and 1080W. Multi range operation can flexibly and effectively set voltage and current. Users can connect up to 2 PSW power supplies in series or 3 PSW power supplies in parallel, which greatly expands its application range by providing higher output voltage or current connection capabilities. With flexible multi range operation and series/parallel connections, you no longer need to spend money on purchasing multiple power products. The PSW series can fully meet the power needs of different levels.
The C.V/C.C priority selection mode of PSW series can effectively protect the test object. When the output is turned on, traditional power supplies are usually in C.V mode, which can instantly cause a large surge current to capacitive or high current loads. Taking the verification of the I-V curve of LED as an example, it is difficult to complete the measurement work using traditional power sources. C. Connect the LED to the power supply in V mode, turn on the output, and when the voltage exceeds the forward voltage of the LED, the current suddenly increases and exceeds the preset current limit value. Due to the detection of surge current, the power supply switched from C.V mode to C.C mode. Although the current gradually stabilizes after the mode transition, the peak current at the intersection of C.V and C.C may cause damage to the test object. However, the PSW series can preferentially operate in C.C mode at the moment of output startup, avoiding sudden peak currents and protecting devices from damage caused by surge currents.
The PSW series is designed with an adjustable slope function, allowing users to set the rise time (from low level to high level) and fall time (from high level to low level) of the output voltage or output current. When the voltage or current level changes, adjustable slope is beneficial for verifying the characteristics of the test object. Under normal circumstances, the production and testing of lighting fixtures and large capacitors can cause surge currents at the moment the output is turned on, which seriously shortens the life of the DUT. In order to prevent surge currents from damaging high current devices, smooth and slow voltage transmission during switching can significantly reduce surge currents and protect devices from high current damage.
The PSW series provides OVP and OCP protection, with a default protection level of 110% of the rated output voltage/current. Once the preset value is exceeded, the output is immediately turned off. The PSW series comes standard with USB Host/Device, LAN interface, and optional GPIB-USB and RS232-USB interfaces. All interfaces support LabView driver and data recording PC software. The analog control/monitoring interface on the back panel can externally control the power on/off and monitor the output voltage and current.
