Polystyrene, DDMAT capped, DDMAT: full name S-dodecyl-S' - (α, α '- dimethyl - α' '- acetic acid) trithiocarbonate, is a classic chain transfer agent (CTA) for RAFT (reversible addition cleavage chain transfer) polymerization; After sealing, one end of the polystyrene chain carries a trithiocarbonate group of DDMAT, and the alpha end often retains a carboxyl group (- COOH) for further coupling; Linear molecular formula:

Block copolymer construction:As a macromolecular chain transfer agent, two block/multiblock copolymers (such as PS-b-PAA) are synthesized to precisely regulate the hydrophilic hydrophobic ratio, drive nano self-assembly (micelles, vesicles), and adapt to pH responsive drug delivery and tumor targeted therapy.

Mild functionalization:By visible light catalytic desulfurization (blue light, room temperature), the DDMAT chain end is converted into a hydrogen end or targeting group (such as carboxyl group, fluorescent label) for surface modification of diagnostic probes or sensors, avoiding structural damage by strong acids/bases
