Overview

Fins are the basic components of plate fin heat exchangers, and the heat transfer process is mainly completed through fin heat conduction and convective heat transfer between fins and fluids. The function of fins is to expand the heat transfer area and improve compactness. Fins can be seen as extensions and expansions of partitions; Meanwhile, due to the much larger surface area of the fins compared to the partitions, the compactness coefficient is significantly increased. b.
