Plant stem flow meterAdopting a new method for measuring SapFlow invented by French scholar Granier after the 1980s, namely the heat dissipation probe method (constant heat flux sensor method). The data collection of this method has the characteristics of accuracy and stability, and can continuously read data without interruption, so the data is systematic. The measurement system consists of a pair of 33mm long heat dissipation probes. During installation, the probes are inserted into the edge wood of the tree with a distance of 10cm-15cm between them. The upper probe is wrapped with a resistance wire for direct current heating, while the lower probe is not heated and maintains the same temperature as the surrounding edge wood tissue. The temperature difference between the two probes reflects the liquid flow density of the tree.
