The open piston chiller is equipped with an open compressor and uses Freon as the refrigerant, with a cooling capacity range of 50~1200kW. For piston and fully enclosed piston chillers, semi enclosed and fully enclosed piston compressors are selected respectively, and Freon is generally used as the refrigerant. The cooling capacity range of the chiller is 50~700kW and 10~100kW, respectively

Piston chillers can be divided into two types based on the cooling medium of the condenser: water-cooled and air-cooled. Air cooled chillers can be installed on outdoor floors or roofs to provide the necessary cold water for air conditioning users, especially suitable for use in arid areas and situations with scarce freshwater resources.
