Overview

Photon energy is proportional to its frequency and therefore inversely proportional to its wavelength. In order to generate a signal proportional to the photon flux (quantum number per unit area per second), the spectral power response of the detector (Amps/[W/cm2]) must be inversely proportional to the photon frequency and therefore to the wavelength. Traditionally, the unit of quantum flux is micro waves (also known as micro Einstein) per second per square meter. The conversion factor is as follows: 1mE/s/m2=1mole/s/m2=6.02 * 1017 quanta/s/m2. The angular response of the 2PMA2132 detector has been cosine corrected and is suitable for scattered radiation or long light source measurement

Main features:

The PMA2132 quantum detector can measure photon flux between 400-700nm. PMA2132 has a waterproof casing and can be operated outdoors or in humid environments. There is a proportional relationship between the photon absorption number between 400-700nm and the photosynthetic rate of plants.
