Thickness gauge UTG-4000UTG-1500New handheld ultrasonic thickness gaugeUsing microprocessor technology, it is specifically designed to measure the thickness of metal and non-metal materials, such as aluminum, titanium, plastic, ceramics, glass, and other good conductors of ultrasonic waves, provided that the upper and lower surfaces of the measured workpiece are parallel. UTG-1500 has a wide range of applications and can be used for thickness measurement on various raw materials, components, and assembly machines. It can also detect thickness loss caused by corrosion or wear on all types of pipelines and pressure vessels.
The UTG-4000 thickness gauge is easy to operate, and with known thickness or sound velocity, it can display readings in metric or imperial units after simple calibration.
New handheld ultrasonic thickness gaugeUltrasonic wall thickness measurement
The use of ultrasonic non-destructive measurement technology to detect the thickness of materials has been widely applied in various fields of modern industry. The material thickness can be measured without touching the upper and lower surfaces of the workpiece, making it possible to measure the thickness of various materials. It is easy to measure materials such as metals, plastics, ceramics, glass, etc. with a degree of 0.01mm.
The ultrasonic thickness gauge measures the thickness of a component by measuring the time it takes for the sound wave to reach the bottom of the component through the sensor, and then measuring the time it takes for the sound wave to return to the sensor. The thickness value is calculated based on the sound velocity of the sound wave in the measured material.
Multiple piezoelectric sensors operate at specific frequencies to generate sound waves. Under normal circumstances, 5MHz is the standard frequency for all Fisitu ultrasonic thickness gauges. Optional sensors can also be used for various measurements.
The pulse/echo direct contact method of ultrasonic thickness gauge requires the use of a coupling agent, usually propylene glycol, but many other substances can also be used as substitutes.
For ease of setup and use, many current instruments have storage, output to printers or computers, and handheld portable functions. In addition, by combining the concise instrument driver menu with data storage function, technicians/operators can obtain effective measurement data when measuring various thickness values.
