Model and product representation method for 35kV and below power cables

1. Use capital letters of * letters in Chinese Pinyin to indicate the type of insulation, conductor material, inner protective layer material, and structural characteristics. If Z represents paper (zhi); L represents aluminum (lv); Q represents lead (qian); F represents phase separation (fen); ZR stands for flame retardant (zuran); NH stands for fire resistance (naihuo).

2. Use numbers to represent the composition of the outer protective layer, with two digits. No numbers represent no armor layer, no outer cover layer. *The digit represents the armor, and the second digit represents the outer cover, such as the outer cover of thick steel wire armor fibers represented as 41.

3. The cable models are generally arranged in the following order according to the cable structure: insulation material; Conductor material; Inner protective layer; Outer protective layer.

4. Cable products are represented by model, rated voltage, and specifications. The method is to add Arabic numerals indicating the rated voltage, number of cores, and nominal cross-sectional area after the model. VV42-10 3 × 50 represents a power cable with copper core, polyvinyl chloride insulation, thick steel wire armor, polyvinyl chloride sheath, rated voltage of 10kV, 3 cores, and a nominal cross-sectional area of 50mm2.


The code and meaning of each part of the power cable model

1. Insulation type: V represents polyvinyl chloride; X represents rubber; Y represents polyethylene; YJ represents cross-linked polyethylene; Z represents paper.

2. Conductor material: L represents aluminum; T (omitted) represents copper.

3. Inner protective layer: V represents polyvinyl chloride sheath; Y polyethylene sheath; L aluminum sheath; Q lead sheath; H rubber sheath; F chloroprene rubber sheath.

4. Feature: D does not drip; F phase separation; CY oil filling; P lean oil dry insulation; P shielding; Z DC.

5. Control layer: 0 none; 2 pairs of steel strips; 3 fine steel wires; 4 thick steel wires.

6. Outer layer: 0 None; 1 fiber outer cover; 2. Polyvinyl chloride sheath; 3. Polyethylene sheath.

7. Add ZR before the code for flame-retardant cables and NH before the code for fire-resistant cables.


Oil filled cable model and product representation method

The oil filled cable model consists of the product series code and the code of each part of the cable structure. The product series code CY for self-contained oil filled cables. The outer sheath structure is represented by a combination of codes from the inner to the outer reinforcement layer, armor layer, and outer coating layer. The insulation type, conductor material, inner protective layer code, arrangement order of each code, and product representation method are the same as those of 35kV and below power cables. CYZQ102 220/1 × 4 represents a self accommodating oil filled cable with copper core, paper insulation, lead sheath, copper strip radial reinforcement, unarmored, polyvinyl chloride sheath, rated voltage of 220kV, single core, and nominal cross-sectional area of 400mm2.


The code meaning of the outer protective layer of the oil filled cable is

1. Reinforcement layer: 1 represents radial reinforcement of copper strip; 2 represents radial reinforcement of stainless steel strip; 3. Radial reinforcement of steel strip; 4 stainless steel strips with radial reinforcement and narrow stainless steel strips with longitudinal reinforcement.

2. Armor layer: 0 without armor; 2 steel belt armor; 4 thick steel wire armor.

3. Outer layer: 1 fiber layer; 2. Polyvinyl chloride sheath; 3 Polyethylene Sheath
