2. Scope of application: Determination of moisture in petroleum products, expressed as a percentage.

3. Measurement principle: A certain amount of sample is mixed with anhydrous solvent and distilled to determine its moisture content, which is expressed as a percentage. GB/T 260-77 (88) "Determination of Moisture in Petroleum Products" is a distillation method. Mix a certain amount of test oil and solvent (boiling point around 100 ℃) and distill them in a designated moisture analyzer. The added solvent reduces the viscosity of the test, which can avoid the impact and foaming phenomenon caused by boiling of the water containing test oil. The solvent and water added during distillation boil together and evaporate, carrying the water contained in the test oil. After condensation, the condensed liquid flows into the receiver. Due to the higher density of water compared to solvents, water can settle to the lower part of the receiver, and the solvent in the upper part of the receiver returns to the distillation flask. With continuous distillation, water is constantly carried out by the solvent and settles to the lower part of the water receiver. Based on the amount of oil tested and the volume of water evaporated, the percentage of water content in the sample can be calculated as the determination result of the water content in petroleum products.

(3) Emulsified suspension: Water is uniformly dispersed in oil in the form of extremely fine water particles. This finely dispersed emulsion is more difficult to remove than suspended water due to the extremely small size of water droplets.

(4) Dissolved state: It exists in the form of water molecules between hydrocarbon molecules in oil products, and is homogeneous with hydrocarbons. The amount of oil it can dissolve in depends on the chemical composition and temperature of the petroleum product. Usually, alkanes, cycloalkanes, and alkenes have weaker ability to dissolve water; Aromatic hydrocarbons can dissolve a significant amount of water. The higher the temperature, the more water can dissolve in the oil

The moisture tester for petroleum products is designed and manufactured according to the requirements of the national standard GB/T260 "Determination of Moisture in Petroleum Products", and is suitable for measuring the moisture content in petroleum products. (2) Measurement principle
