The pesticide residue detector is based on the principle of enzymatic reaction kinetics. If the tested sample contains organophosphorus or carbamate pesticides, it will inhibit the activity of the enzyme, affecting the reaction rate of the colorimetric system. The pesticide residue amount (inhibition rate) in the tested sample is measured by measuring the rate of change of absorbance of the colorimetric system over time._Organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides have inhibitory effects on the normal function of enzymes, and their inhibition rate is positively correlated with the concentration of pesticides. Under normal circumstances, enzymes catalyze the hydrolysis of nerve conduction metabolites, and the hydrolysis products react with chromogenic agents to produce yellow substances. Pesticide residue detection instruments are used to measure the changes in absorbance over time and calculate the inhibition rate. Through the inhibition rate, the presence of organic phosphorus or carbamate pesticides in the sample can be determined.
