MHI HASEG CO., LTD. is a member of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group, and Shanghai Lingyouhui Technology Co., Ltd. has introduced power transmission equipment from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' power transmission department to China. On April 1, 2015, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' power transmission department was reorganized into Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Hasegawa Co., Ltd. MHI HASEG CO., LTD., which focuses on the design, development, and production of large gearboxes. The reducer produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Hasegawa MHI HASEG has the characteristics of adjustable backlash, five stage variable speed, stable rotation, low noise and low vibration. Widely used in precision machinery, steel rolling machinery, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, aerospace steel, rubber, printing, textile machinery and other industries.
To determine whether the lubricating oil of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries reducer needs to be replaced, various factors such as oil quality, appearance, physical and chemical properties, usage time, and equipment operating conditions can be considered. The specific methods are as follows:
Observe the appearance of oil quality
color changeNew lubricating oil usually has a specific color, such as clear light yellow or light brown. If the color of the lubricating oil becomes significantly darker, appearing dark black or turbid, this may be a sign of oxidation or contamination of the oil and replacement needs to be considered.
Impurity situationDrop lubricating oil onto white filter paper and observe for impurities such as metal shavings, dust, and sludge. If there are too many impurities, it will affect the lubrication effect of the lubricating oil and accelerate the wear of the internal parts of the gearbox. At this time, the lubricating oil should be replaced.
Emulsification phenomenon: If the oil appears milky white or has foam, it indicates that water is mixed in the oil and emulsification occurs. This will significantly reduce the lubrication performance of the lubricating oil and requires timely replacement.
Detecting physical and chemical properties
Viscosity testingMeasure the viscosity of lubricating oil using a viscometer. If the viscosity exceeds the specified range of this type of lubricating oil, whether the viscosity increases or decreases, it will affect its flow performance and lubrication effect in the gearbox. At this time, the lubricating oil needs to be replaced.
Acid value and alkali value determinationDetermine the acid value and alkali value of lubricating oil through chemical analysis methods. If the acid value significantly increases, it indicates that the degree of oil oxidation is high, producing more acidic substances that can corrode the internal parts of the gearbox; If the alkali value does not meet the requirements, it will also affect the performance of the lubricating oil, and in both cases, the lubricating oil needs to be replaced.
Flash point testFlash point is an indicator for measuring the safety and volatility of lubricating oil. If the flash point of the lubricating oil significantly decreases, it indicates that volatile impurities or light components have been mixed in the oil, which will increase the risk of fire, and also reflect that the performance of the lubricating oil has changed and should be replaced.
Reference usage timeEven if there are no obvious abnormalities in the appearance and physicochemical properties of the lubricating oil, its usage time should still be considered. As mentioned earlier, a new gearbox usually needs to be replaced for the first time after 200 to 300 hours of operation, and then it is usually replaced every 2000 to 3000 hours of operation or every six months to one year thereafter. But in harsh working conditions, the replacement cycle should be appropriately shortened.
Combined with the operational status of the equipmentIf there is abnormal noise, increased vibration, high temperature, or decreased transmission efficiency during the operation of the reducer, after excluding other fault causes, it is likely to be caused by a decrease in lubricating oil performance or contamination. At this time, the lubricating oil should be checked and replaced.
