1 Introduction

Micro ceramic heaters are used in the fiber drawing process, especially in the production of fiber melting cone products such as fiber pullers and combiners, with a maximum temperature of 1600 degrees Celsius. Accurate temperature control can be achieved through a constant current source.
2 Structure

The structure of the micro ceramic heater is shown in Fig1. The two leads of the heater do not distinguish polarity and can be directly connected to the power supply.

3 Precautions

3.1 The micro heater contains ceramic accessories and is a fragile item. Be careful not to fall or collide.

3.2 The insulation fireproof material of the micro heater is very fragile; Twisting or bending of the lead wire can cause damage and breakage. Be careful when operating.

3.3 If a sudden change in current is applied to the micro heater, it may cause damage or shorten the lifespan of the heater. Therefore, it is necessary to control the appropriate amount of current change.

3.4 For newly installed heaters or heaters that have not been used for a long time, attention should be paid when starting to use them. You cannot directly heat them to the target value

Heat up to the appropriate temperature first, then gradually increase the temperature (refer to # 5 temperature control).

Please do not insert flammable materials into the heater to avoid damaging it.

4. How to connect wires

Please follow the wiring diagram to connect the constant current source and heater.

5 Heater temperature control

Heating starts, adjust to 1000 degrees Celsius or other values at a rate of 50 degrees Celsius per minute. When turning off the heating, take 50 shots

Adjust the rate to room temperature in degrees Celsius per minute.

Regarding temperature calibration, prepare a 0.3mm B-type thermocouple, ceramic tube, and thermometer.

1) The temperature corresponding to the preset current value of the heater may decrease over time, so it is recommended to calibrate the heater once a month.

2) Insert the thermocouple into the center of the ceramic tube, place the ceramic tube into the heater, and use a thermometer to record the current value reaching the preset temperature.
