Overview

The Micasense drone is equipped with the Altum PT multispectral imaging camera, which captures multispectral, thermal infrared, and panchromatic data simultaneously. The pixel aligned output has a high resolution. The capture of these bands occurs simultaneously, eliminating the need for data alignment in post-processing.

Product Details

Micasense Altum PT multispectral camera

The Micasense drone mounted multispectral camera Altum PT is an excellent three in one solution optimized for remote sensing and agricultural research. It seamlessly integrates an ultra-high resolution Panchromatic lens, a built-in 320x256 thermal infrared imager, and five single channel spectral lenses to achieve synchronized output of data during a single flight, such as RGB images, crop growth, thermal infrared images, and high-resolution Panchromatic images. Compared to the previous AtumTM sensor, the Aitum PT multispectral camera on the Micasense drone provides twice the spatial resolution of the Altum PT multispectral camera, giving users deeper analytical capabilities and a wider range of applications: it can even achieve plant surface recognition in the early stages of growth, count in the early stages of young forests, and of course, monitor soil throughout the season.

Altum PT: An optimized three in one solution for excellent remote sensing and agricultural research. Compared with current sensors, Altum PT can provide a more comprehensive and detailed analysis of the plant canopy throughout the season. Its high-resolution output can be applied to plant counting and detection of small canopy features in early growth stages. The enhanced thermal calibration technology ensures the availability of heat maps - more than twice as much as the previous Altum, opening the door to advanced research applications.

Main features

Ultra high resolution panchromatic imaging instrument with data output of 2.49 cm GSD (120m height)

-More than twice as many as today's comparable multispectral cameras.

Equipped with a 320 x 256 radiation thermal imager, the ground resolution is twice that of the previous Altum, with 33 cm/pixel vs. 81 cm/pixel.

• Removable professional grade CFexpress storage with a maximum capacity of 2TB, allowing for faster write speeds up to two captures per second

The Altum PT integrates an ultra-high resolution panchromatic imager, a new thermal imager, and five discrete spectral bands, with a spatial resolution exceeding twice that of the previous Altum. Higher spatial resolution capability means that in most cases, Altumt PT can detect subtle changes from early emergence until the end of the season and provide high-quality data throughout the year.

Ecological monitoring of agricultural plants

1. Monitor and analyze key growth indicators such as plant health status, leaf area index, and chlorophyll content.

2. Using infrared technology for temperature measurement to accurately obtain the surface temperature of plants.

3. It can be used to quickly scan the spectral range of multiple bands, including visible light, near-infrared, and short wave infrared, to monitor plants with different spectral characteristics.

application

• Irrigation management

• Disease, pest and nutrient deficiency detection

• Plant breeding

• Fruit yield estimation

• Water pressure prediction

• Species classification for land management/conservation
