Product Description:

Mesalabs wet heat sterilization biological indicator from the United StatesA conventional spore paper strip biological indicator used to monitor the sterilization effect of steam, ethylene oxide, dry heat, irradiation, chlorine dioxide, ozone, etc. It has an easy to tear paper packaging containing a filter paper strip inoculated with a certain number of spores.

MesaStrep spore strips can be placed inside the object to be sterilized or its packaging, sterilized together with the sterilized object, and transferred to a microbiology laboratory. Under strict aseptic operation, the paper packaging is torn open, and the spore strips are taken out and transferred to the soybean casein digest medium (TSB medium) for cultivation at a suitable temperature. If sterilization fails, the spores will grow and the medium will become turbid.

Usage and result interpretation:

The glass envelope contains filter paper strips with spores. After sterilization in the sterilization cabinet, under sterile and clean conditions, the spore strips are placed in soybean casein digest culture medium for 7 days. If the liquid in the culture medium becomes turbid, it indicates bacterial growth and is positive; If sterilized spore strips are placed in Releasat rapid culture medium for cultivation, observe the color of the culture medium after 24 hours. If it appears yellow, it indicates the presence of bacterial organisms and can be judged as positive.

Parameter description:

★ Cultivate the spore strips of Geobacillus stearothermophilus at 55 ℃ -60 ℃ for 7 days

★ Cultivate Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus atrophaeus, and Bacillus subtilis at 30 ℃ -35 ℃ for 7 days

If used in conjunction with MesaLabs' rapid culture medium PM/100 or RM/100, it can shorten the cultivation time

★ The spore size is 6mm * 25mm, and the packaging size is 25mm * 76mm (excluding ACD and AOZ). The body is flexible and can be placed in positions where traditional self-contained biological indicators cannot be placed

The D value, Z value, F0 value, bacterial content and other parameters of biological indicators have been strictly validated, and COA can be seen with the shipment
