Merck Total Hardness Chemical Test Strip Water Hardness Test Paper

General description
Method: Test paper colorimetric method,<3->4->7->14->21 ° d,<4->5->9->18->26 ° e,<5->7->12->25->37 ° f, MQuant ®

MQuant ® The total hardness test paper can be used to measure the hardness of water. The hardness of a given water sample refers to its alkaline earth metal salt content, including calcium, magnesium, strontium, and barium (the "hardening components", with only trace amounts of the latter two compounds) metals. In the presence of a green indicator, hardness ions Ca2+and Mg2+interact with Titriplex ® (III) (EDTA disodium salt) reacts to form a stable colorless complex. Compared to Titriplex ® (III) Excessive hardness ions react with the indicator to form a red complex. Immersing Titriplex with different contents in each reaction zone of the test paper ® (III), Therefore, depending on the hardness of the water sample, it will appear green to red. By visually comparing the reaction zones of the test strip with the color bands on the color chart, the hardness can be semi quantitatively determined. For other sensitivity and division measurements, please refer to other MQuant ® Testing and our Reflectoquant ® And SpectroQuant ® Test series.
