1. Choose a torque wrench with appropriate range

In the use of preset torque wrenches, the first step is to select a torque wrench with a moderate range according to the requirements of the measured workpiece. The measured torque value should not be less than 20% of the range of the torque tester in use. A too large range should not be used for reinforcing small torque components, and a small range torque tester should not be used beyond the range;

2. Determine the preset torque value based on the required torque value of the workpiece.

When setting the torque value, pull down the locking ring on the wrench handle and rotate the handle to adjust the values of the main and differential scale lines of the ruler to the desired torque value. After adjustment, release the locking ring and the handle will automatically lock.

3. Confirm that the torque wrench is securely connected to the fixing component and has been locked

When using a torque wrench, first connect the square tenon of the wrench to the auxiliary accessories (such as sockets, various types of nozzles) to ensure that the connection is correct. Before reinforcing the torque, set the force value that needs to be reinforced, lock the sub locking device, and adjust the direction switch knob to the direction of the applied force Then, when using, quickly and continuously operate 5-6 times to ensure that the special lubricant on the internal components of the wrench can be fully lubricated, making the torque wrench more durable and long-lasting.

4. Method of applying force with torque wrench

Install the corresponding socket on the square tenon of the wrench and secure it with the fastener, then slowly apply force on the handle. When applying external force, it must be in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Grasp the effective range of the handle with your hand, slowly apply force in a direction perpendicular to the torque wrench housing, until you hear the torque wrench make a 'tower' sound. When tightened to a signal of 'click' (reaching the preset torque value), stop applying force. Completed one assignment.

At this point, the torque wrench has reached the preset torque value, and the workpiece has completed the force application. Then, the force should be released in a timely manner to avoid damaging other components.

During the force application process, according to the national standard instrument operation specifications, the vertical deviation should not exceed 10 degrees on both sides. The horizontal deviation should not exceed 3 degrees, and the operator should ensure that the range of force applied in all directions does not exceed 15 degrees during use.

5. When using a large-sized torque wrench, an additional extension rod can be added for easy operation.

6. The measurement results may be affected by deviations in the horizontal and vertical directions. When measuring, a stable vertical downward force should be applied to the gripping end, and then additional force should be added to achieve more accurate results.

7. A wrench is a measuring tool and should be handled with care. It cannot replace a hammer for striking. When not in use, please set the torque to the minimum value and store it in a dry place. The range of torque is relatively wide, and when reinforcing torque, it is relatively simple. Only the required torque value needs to be set for operation.

8. If not used for a long time, adjust the scale markings to the minimum torque value. Beneficial for ensuring the accuracy of torque.
