KLXM-ProMechanical sand particle size and shape analyzerThe optical path system of the measurement system adopts a parallel light source (telecentric optical path) combined with a telecentric lens. The mechanical sand particles are uniformly transported to the discharge port through a vibrating feeder. The mechanical sand particles are dispersed by free fall and pass through the measurement optical path area. With the help of a high-speed industrial camera, real-time images of the falling mechanical sand particles are captured. The measurement principle is shown in Figure 1. The particle image is processed using digital image processing software to calculate and analyze the clear image of each captured particle. The particle image is then transformed into a binary image to obtain the projected area S, projected perimeter, and the length b and width a of the projected small bounding rectangle. The equivalent diameter, roundness, aspect ratio, and other particle shape parameters of the particle are calculated. The result of the binary processing of the particle digital image is shown in Figure 2. The telecentric optical path system has a high contrast profile. The telecentric optical path reduces the diffuse reflection of objects, thereby improving the contrast and measurement accuracy of particle edges.
