The demand for companies to improve their energy balance is constantly increasing. Rolling slab requires high energy input. After the rolling process, the strip is rolled up. Our NGO3 water measuring head measures the remaining water content on the steel strip in real-time when it is wound up at production speed. Within a distance of 200 millimeters, the measuring head can be installed between, for example, the last bracket and the spool.
The measurement of water and lubricant on the belt can be obtained in a separate display of mg/m2 and directly displayed on the operator's monitor. Through this method, the drying of the belt can be adjusted based on the measured values without excessive heating or blowing.
